Stress is a natural part of our lives, however our stress levels can sometimes become too high and it may start to affect us negatively.
The NHS Doncaster Talking Therapies stress management course, Stress Buster, is a six-week course which provides you with tools and techniques to help you to understand and manage your stress, anxiety and depression.
You will learn techniques to manage your stress levels and improve your confidence, such as:
- relaxation
- activity planning
- challenging negative thoughts
- addressing worries
- managing panic attacks
- reducing avoidance.
The course will run for a total of 6 weeks, with a different topic each week. This course is open to anyone over 18 years-old, who lives in Doncaster and is registered to a local GP.
The stress course is not group therapy; you will not be asked to share your experiences or to speak up in front of others. You can just sit back, listen, and put your new skills into practice.
